Fine Arts Friday

Programs for Ages 6 months to 5 Years

We believe education goes far beyond the traditional left brain cognitive/academic skills.  We, of course, value & incorporate foundational skills, such as reading and math readiness during our Pre-School, but for our Fine Arts  Fridays program in particular, we strive to educate in ways that draw out and nurture the individual talents and purpose of each child’s right-brain learning.  In creative “work” a child is able to give shape and dimension to his/her feelings, to experiment, and to relate him/herself to the world they know.  Children learn by doing and the fine arts are natural partners to “hands on” learning and quickly capture a child’s attention. Our overall objective is to offer opportunities for creative expressions in a variety of venues in a Christ-centered environment.  We will be engaged in a multitude of age appropriate activities that emphasize the creative process more than the final product.  We will strive to develop the whole child cognitively, physically, creatively and spiritually.  We will enhance natural gifts as a means of education in surroundings rich in creativity. The day will consist of a variety of the following activities:  creative drama, Spanish, cooking, music/dance, science & computer lab.

The program is licensed by The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
